A Unique Cleveland Wedding Venue

Tremont, Ohio

I had the pleasure of taking a tour of The Elliot, the brainchild of Stephanie Ridgely, the owner and CEO. She was so gracious to take time for me to come and meet her, see the space, and learn a bit more of how The Elliot came to be and where it’s headed. There’s something about meeting and talking with someone like Stephanie that always gets me feeling more daring, more fearless, and more inspired. While you may be more like me (not a risk taker, someone who has a hard time visualizing “what could be” without a plan) people like Stephanie have a vision and they GO FOR IT! There’s always the chance of hiccups, concerns, set-backs, but that doesn’t stop passion. Stephanie could see in a way few could just what this historic cathedral could be and now we get to see her vision in real life. It was great to get some additional photos of the space to add to the ones from a recent styled shoot before the venue was actually complete.

The Elliot features a grand ballroom complete with chandelier, and a majorly long bar as the main space. A curved staircase takes guests to an upper lounge that looks out over the ballroom, and also gives access to two small, square side rooms that could serve as a place to set getting ready items for a bride on ones side and a groom on the other. One of the most distinguishing features of The Elliot is the stained glass windows seen from the two small rooms and the upper lounge. I would love to see how brides and grooms will use these upper spaces creatively for their weddings!

FUN FACT: The one side room also has a rope that rings the church bell! It actually works!

But wait.. there’s also a speakeasy style lower room called The Rosehip Room. Perfect for any swanky smaller event that wants that 1920’s flapper vibe. The Rosehip Room also has an excellent bar and yes, you guessed it- stained glass.  This room also features a lighted stage- ideal for a DJ or band.

For more on the floor plans check out The Elliot’s website: Floor Plans.

The outside of The Elliot is stunning. The circular stained glass window and and two tall spires on either side are a grand backdrop for a wedding couple. And can’t you just imagine all your guests lining up outside for a sparkler or bubble exit as you ascend the stairs as man and wife?!

That’s it! Let’s do this! Who’s ready to get married here? I’m so there!

There’s also great photo spots around The Elliot for a bride and groom and their bridal party including nearby Lincoln Park.
